A passport is the only document the applicant will need to apply for an Egypt eVisa.
No visit to an embassy is needed; just submit a clear scan of the passport's bio page, fill in the details online, and receive the approved eVisa by email.

Upload a clear scan or photo of the passport bio page. All details you enter in the application must match this page exactly.
Bring this same passport while travelling to Egypt.
Passport and Scan Requirements
Before submitting the scan copy of the passport bio page, confirm the following points.

The passport must be valid for at least 3 months from the date of arrival in Egypt.

The scanned copy must be clear, complete and fully readable. Blurry or cropped scans will require resubmission.
