How to Extend your Egypt E-Visa?
The Egypt eVisa is issued for tourism purposes only and is available as a single-entry or multiple-entry travel authorisation. Both visa types allow foreign travellers to stay in Egypt for a maximum of 30 days per visit.
The single-entry eVisa is valid for 90 days, while the multiple-entry eVisa is valid for 180 days. Travellers who wish to stay longer may apply for an extension or renewal, depending on their situation.
There are two ways to extend your stay:
- Renew the visa from outside Egypt
- Extend the visa while staying in Egypt
Note: Multiple-entry eVisa holders may enter Egypt more than once, but each stay must not exceed 30 days.

What If You Overstay Your Egypt E-visa?

If you overstay your visa, you will break the specific visa’s terms and conditions as well as the country’s immigration and visa policies. This can lead to severe consequences, such as a fine or a travel ban.
- Travel Ban to Egypt: If the government decides to ban you from entering Egypt, you will not be able to get a travel permit in the future or as long as the ban stays. Therefore, if you realise your visa is about to expire, you should contact the relevant authorities quickly.
- Fine: Overstaying your e-visa in Egypt can result in a fine. The amount you need to pay depends on how long you have overstayed in Egypt.
Overstay fines are paid at the airport upon departure. Travellers are advised to arrive early to allow sufficient time for payment and clearance procedures.
